About Berber Semmelink – Swiss SnowPro, Ski Instructor & Freeride Guide
Who I am – technique, experience and true passion
I’m Berber Semmelink – a fully certified ski instructor, Swiss snow sports instructor with federal diploma, snowboard instructor and Freeride Guide. For more than 25 years I’ve been coaching people on snow: with technical precision, clear analysis, deep experience and a calm, confident presence.
I don’t just teach skiing – I teach movement, confidence and control.
Many of my guests say after the first hours:
“Now I finally understand what good technique is supposed to feel like.”
Training & expertise – the highest qualification in Switzerland
I hold the highest Swiss professional certification as a snow sports instructor with Freeride and Backcountry licence for skiing and snowboarding. In addition:
• fully certified ski instructor (DE/AT)
• Swiss snow sports instructor with federal diploma (CH)
• certified snowboard instructor
• Freeride Guide
• over 25 years of teaching experience
• international podium finishes in giant slalom, skicross and freeride – on skis and snowboard
This combination of technique, analysis, safety and experience makes my coaching precise, efficient and easy to understand.

For women – safety, confidence and real strength
Many women feel especially comfortable with me because I:
• teach calmly, clearly and with structure
• create safety without pressure
• explain movements in a way that makes sense
• take fears seriously without reinforcing them
• teach technique in a way that feels good
Women often say:
“Finally someone who understands me and makes me feel safe.”
That comes from empathy, experience and presence.
Children’s lessons – structure, heart and intuition

Teaching children is one of my biggest specialisations – and something I truly love. I enjoy growing with them, supporting their development and watching how quickly they gain confidence, courage and joy.
I work with a mix of friendly firmness, sensitivity, clear structure and humour. Children need both: someone who guides them – and someone who understands them.
I instantly see what a child needs: more security, more technique, more courage or simply more playfulness.
When learning is fun, progress happens naturally. It’s a privilege to accompany children on a small part of their journey – on the slopes, in the terrain and in their self‑confidence.
Freeride & backcountry – safe, aware and professional

As a Freeride Guide I focus on:
• avalanche awareness
• risk assessment
• line choice
• reading terrain
• stable, energy‑efficient powder technique
I don’t just take you off‑piste.
I show you how to move there safely, confidently and with flow.
For athletic men – technique that impresses

Many athletic men come to me because they realise that strength alone isn’t enough. Technique is timing, balance, precision – and that’s exactly where my strength lies.
I teach clearly, directly and analytically – without ego, without games, but with a professionalism that earns respect.
The feedback I hear most often:
“I thought I skied well – until I skied with you.”
I immediately see where movement begins, where it gets blocked – and how to make it more efficient, stable and dynamic.
My path – from Austria to Switzerland
I became self‑employed in 2006 and worked for many years in Kaprun (Austria).
In 2017 I moved to Switzerland – to the region that is now my home: Eastern Switzerland and Graubünden.
Since 2018 I’ve been working as a Swiss SnowPro with BSSKI, coaching guests in:
• Davos–Klosters
• Flims–Laax
• Lenzerheide–Arosa
• Flumserberg
• Savognin, Obersaxen and other areas
On request I also travel to your preferred ski resort – anywhere in Switzerland..
